I was thinking recently, at the end of the film, Thistle’s hair has seeded, so surely she must have been pollinated before then. Expect painting from this. Giant watercolor paintings.
A commission for Sarah Eason. Her film (that these characters come from) is here!
If you’re waiting on me to get back to you about a commission, I’m doing my best to get through these, but I’ve been battling technology and it’s slowing me down a bit. Thanks for your patience!
An amazing piece Courtney Bernard did for me! If you get the chance to commission her, I highly recommend it.
Thistle also just finished showing at POWFest and I’m super looking forward to the Savannah International Animation Festival!
I’ve got to let everyone know the next three upcoming festivals Thistle will be a part of!

If any of these neat festivals are near you, check ‘em out! If I can swing it I might try to make it to one….times are expensive. Hopefully Painter will be up and working again for me soon and I can get back to regular updates. I have an exciting fun illustration project I want to be posting about :3
it’ll be showing at POWFest this March! If you’re in the Portland, Oregon area go check it out!! It’s going to be a super neat festival <3
Well, even though I know you all must be sick of pigeons by now, I’m putting ‘em up for sale! These are the pigeon puppets I used in ‘Thistle.’ Each one is a paper cut out done with copic and prisma color markers. They have no moving parts and are each glued to a large wooden popsicle stick. Like a pigeon-sicle! They vary in size, but are all roughly 4-6 inches high and about 3 inches wide. If you’re interested check them out: http://seestore.storenvy.com/ Or if you’re feeling extra spendy I’d be happy to make a custom pigeon for you, just drop me a line <3
P.S. - They each have their own little biographical blurb, so the store is worth a check out just for that :3
